I’m so grateful for having been surrounded by some of my favorite friends. It’s easy to get caught up in work and forget to take time out to truly relax. A beautiful day, great friends, and a wonderful trip to Carowinds made for an absolutely fabulous weekend. My favorite part of these trips are the car rides as they truly provide some of the best memories ever – granted, I fall asleep half the time and have no idea what’s going on in the conversations.
These guys wound up going on EVERY roller coaster in the park. I get terrible motion sickness on these rides, so I opted out and pretty much chilled the whole day. The excitement and thrill on everyone’s faces was easily enough to make the waiting worth it – not to mention the quick pit stop we made at IKEA.
This is, by far, the BEST funnel cake I have EVER had. Whip cream, cinnamon, powdered sugar, chocolate syrup, vanilla ice cream, and strawberries piled on top of funnel goodness. This was just the sugar rush we needed for the drive back home. This was so much better than the stuff they have at the local annual carnival and if any of you are ever in Carowinds, do not leave without buying one of “The Works”.
