Kiswa + Sameer | Couple’s Session

Kiswa and Sameer are an amazing couple and we shot their private wedding a few weeks ago. It just so happens, Sameer’s family were my very first clients about three years ago. The first paid photoshoot I ever did was a portrait session for Sameer’s toddler nephew. Shown here are some of my favorite pictures from the couple’s session the day after. The weather was beautiful and we had some amazing light towards the end of the day. While the wedding will remain a private affair, I included some portraits I loved from the main Shadi day.

Keeping up…

After finishing off the winter wedding season around New Years, I now have a few weeks to catch up on processing, album development, and designing. There’s always something to stay busy with. Currently, I’ve been working nonstop on the new S2S Blogsite Mahroo and I want to launch. What’s a blogsite? It’s pretty much the blog that gets extended into a flexible, fluid, and complete website. One thing we learned from last year is that while Flash sites are pretty, they’re also static, unintuitive, and redundant – all form and no function. So, I got to coding and hopefully we can launch the complete blogsite real soon.

Another thing I’ve been looking forward to is getting published. Mahroo and I are currently putting together a bunch of wedding portfolios and submitting them to a few popular wedding magazines and online resources to be featured. Submitting work always becomes a challenge as what magazine editors might want is completely different than what our clients might want.

Sarah + Azab | Wedding

The last wedding of 2009. It’s been a great year and my wife and I have had the opportunity to work with such amazing couples. What better way to end the year than featuring one of the hottest couples we have photographed. Sarah and Ahmd are both friends of ours and we were delighted when they came to us for their wedding. I don’t think I have ever come across a couple this excited to be in love – they were both gleaming in “their moment” and the smiles lasted all day.

Ahmd and Sarah decided to have a “first look” and see each other before the wedding ceremony. This was one of my favorite parts of the day as a photographer due to the moment being so naturally amazing. Another awesome thing about the day was the weather. The light outside was absolutely gorgeous and we decided to take advantage of it for as long as we could.
