Today, my wife and I took one of our close friends out to a lunch at a contemporary Mexican restaurant called MEZ. The place is gorgeous from the inside and the food is amazing – trust me, I’m not much of a fan of Mexican food, but this hit the spot in all the right ways. As I sat there waiting for their famous vegetarian burrito (it was ridiculously good), I was trying to figure out what to blog about today. Then, as I was finishing my “upside down mango cake“, it hit me… CRISTAL!
Cristal is an absolute sweetheart. She used to work with my wife some time ago and used to be in a cultural dance group. We went out to downtown Raleigh almost a year ago and shot at some of the same areas where we did Saba’s shoot. I feel funny some times when I look at my past work that I have not seen for a while – truly helps me appreciate the growth of my style and all the experience I have gained since. It also makes me realize that some times, no matter how long ago it was and how much I have learned since, some images are just classic in their beauty. The black and white picture is one of my best conversions ever. The moment, the exposure, the processing – it all worked out beautifully.
