Yesterday, I shot a long awaited wedding – Jennifer and Dustin had booked me for their big day about a year ago. I can’t say enough nice things about these two as they are extremely sweet individuals with very loving families. I shot their COUPLE’S SESSION a few months back at the beach and the bridals were shot locally in Raleigh at Lake Wheeler.
The wedding reception was held at Walnut Creek Country Club. There was a beautiful lake next to the clubhouse, but we were unable to shoot outdoors because it starting raining heavily. It got really dark early on, so I decided to just shoot as much as I could indoors and make the best of it. Even with the weather being the way it was, the wedding was awesome. Everyone had fun and I truly appreciate having had the chance to be a part of the big day.
I must say, the cake was fantastic. It was, honestly, one of the best cakes I’ve had this year – very elegant and simple in design and absolutely delicious. I make it a tradition to have cake at every wedding I go to – regardless of if I have time to eat anything else… must have cake!
