So, it’s been a few weeks since the last blog post, but there’s a good reason for the absence – Mahroo and I decided to go on vacation. We took a trip to Malaysia with two short side stops at Thailand and Singapore. For the past couple of days, we had been staying at the gorgeous Serenity Resort in Phuket, a small island off the coast of Thailand. Though the stay in Phuket was short, it was definitely one of my favorite points of the trip – not much to do except wind down. Mahroo and I took Baby Z to Coral Island, a less populated island near Phuket with a cozy little beach. The one thing I loved were all the Thai long boats and seeing them stranded after the tide pulled out.
I wanted to keep my travel kit extremely light and fairly flexible. So, the only thing I brought with me on this trip is a D300 and a Tamron 17-50/2.8 kit. The setup is small enough to stuff into Mahroo’s medium sized purse or a small camera bag. In hindsight, it would’ve been nice to have a tripod.
