Here we go… I’m officially starting off the 2010 wedding season with Shama and Owais’s two day wedding. Shama put together almost all of the wedding herself and made some of the coolest choices as a bride. From the prep location at the five star Umstead to the gorgeous venue at the The Cardinal Club, every thing she picked worked out perfectly for the day.
The first night, there was a small Mehndi party held at Shama’s parents’ house where a bunch of her girlfriends came over to dance, eat, and have fun. The next morning, there was a small religious ceremony to wed the couple, followed by a reception in the evening. After Shama had gotten ready, we took her to see Owais at the Meditation Garden in the Umstead. It’s so nice to have the couple see each other before the wedding – it helps them relax and seems to take off some of the anxiety. Not to mention it provides for some great photos.
