This past weekend, we went up to Virginia for a wonderful two day long Southeast Asian wedding – Mehndi (henna ceremony) and Shadi (bride’s wedding event). The Mehndi was held at the Old Hickory Golf Club in Woodbridge and the Shadi was at the Hyatt Regency in Reston. We were really looking forward to doing some outdoor portraits on the golf course, but a thunderstorm came in and pretty much cancelled that plan. However, the venues themselves were beautiful and provided for some beautiful scenery.
Sobia and Fahad have got to be one of the most interesting couples I’ve had so far. Sobia is beautiful, sweet, very warm, and extremely creative – she designed all the decorations for the events herself! Her sister brought us all together and we absolutely loved working with the families. As far as the groom…
Fahad is a badass. Period.
Also, a big shout out to my best friend Adnan for assisting during the wedding and Ayesha for hosting our stay – which means we pretty much crashed at her place. We shot this wedding with the amazing David Gaafar who was providing videography, which is always a pleasure.
