Usman and Ayesha – a fellow photographer – are friends of ours. They were in town and had been meaning to get some family photos done. Mahroo and I had also been thinking about getting a session for ourselves as well. So, like any group of logical photographers would do, we started shooting each other. We met up at the NC Arboretum for a little bit and had some fun. Musa is their handsome 4 year old son and he has a mouth on him – the stuff he says is absolutely hysterical. In the most serious manner with the most ordinary tone, he’ll make the funniest assumptions and observations I’ve ever heard a kid his age say.

the last might be my fave, but i also love the B&W of musa holding usman’s hand – a real smile, not the one he gives when you ask him to smile 
– and the one where i’m holding his hand but his face is partly cut off 
… it’s a storytelling pic, i adore it! and the first one. heck, all of them…
